My paintings are predominantly figurative and landscape. In my work I aim to create atmospheric and questioning paintings that are often metaphorical using representational imagery and abstraction. My larger paintings often have a quality of immersion in nature and explore the relationship between human beings within the landscape. I work from a variety of sources, drawing and painting from life, photography, and other found imagery. It is important for me that I retain a sense of vitality in my painting and keep them as very explorative pieces of work.
